“I want to create a tribe of women inspired to know themselves better, to be better and to do better.”

Judith

As women, we often face challenges and hurdles that can hinder or derail us.

Sometimes it’s us and our own mindsets that play a part in this and we can be our own worst enemies by not believing in ourselves or thinking that we’re not good enough to go for what we want. Very often it’s our environments that don’t allow us to fly or nurture our explicit talents.

My journey

My personal and professional journey has been long and sometimes painful. I have struggled with issues such as confidence in the workplace and this was especially heightened when I didn’t always see anyone that looked like me in the places that I worked. I had challenges and obstacles because I was a woman, because I was a black woman and because I was a woman with young children.

However, through all of this and with complete determination, I was able to have a successful career spanning over 20 years as a marketing and communications professional. Ending as a successful freelance consultant working in some of the largest and well known UK charities, as a Director, Head of and SLT member, leading and turning around small to large sized marketing teams and managing million figure pound budgets.

None of it came easy and in order to achieve my career vision, I was driven and focused on being the best that I could be and focusing on what I could control and dealt with each obstacle warranted and unwarranted as they came along. My mindset and self-belief were the biggest things that I had to take control of and doing this enabled me to achieve my goals and dreams.

Through this all, I began to notice women that were struggling like I had, women who looked like me and beyond. Women began gravitating towards me and I began successfully coaching and mentoring them for 10 years, to help them achieve their personal and professional goals. This was all voluntary and in addition to my demanding main career as a full-time marcomms professional. I thought nothing of coaching and mentoring a woman before work, during work and lunch and after work and I did this time and time again. I guess I didn’t realise that this could ever be my purpose, or my calling as some would say.

I quickly discovered that I could be a force for positive change, by working with women on their self-esteem, confidence, mindset challenges and career obstacles to help them believe in themselves and take control of their lives and become their most successful self. I know that the passion and drive I offer women, comes from my own personal experiences, good and bad and I’m very open and proud of that.

How did I go from where I was to where I am now?

My first step…

Was to believe in me, to believe in my abilities, passion and purpose. That I could make positive changes to women’s lives.

The next thing…

That I did was to have a vision of where I wanted to get to. I was also fortunate that I had some amazing “angels” along the way who were my cheerleaders and accountability partners who challenged, encouraged and motivated me at key steps.

Finally…

I set about on my journey to become a full time Motivationalist and Breakthrough Coach.

My own story started with a critical mindset change, with a renewed belief in myself and abilities and a burning ambition and passion. I realised I wasn’t being true to myself and working to my real and full potential.

I want the same for you. When we put our heads together, you’ll see there is no limit to what you can achieve.
